Rarieda Member of Parliament, Dr. Otiende Amollo, has reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting education standards in the constituency with the unveiling of a brand-new school bus worth Sh10.5 million for Lieta School.
The bus, co-funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), marks a significant milestone in improving access to education and student mobility.
Speaking during the colourful handover ceremony, Dr. Amollo described the bus as more than just a means of transport. “This bus is not just a vehicle. It is a bridge to opportunity, to exposure, and to the broader world outside their classrooms,” he said. “It will make learning journeys safer and more accessible for the students of Lieta School.”
The event, attended by students, parents, teachers, and local leaders, was met with celebration and praise for Dr. Amollo’s continued investment in the future of Rarieda’s youth.
In a further boost to the education sector, the MP also issued CDF cheques worth Sh35 million to various schools and institutions across the constituency.
The funds are earmarked for infrastructure development, provision of learning materials, and other essential improvements aimed at enhancing the learning environment.
