President William Ruto has once again taken aim at Parliament, accusing some parliamentary committees of engaging in extortion.
While addressing the United Democratic Alliance UDA and Orange Democratic Movement ODM joint parliamentary group meeting in Karen Nairobi, the president questioned the role of welfare chairmen in parliamentary committees, accusing them of perpetrating extortion.
However, the president commended members of parliament for passing bills that he said are solving problems in the health sector.
The president further hailed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and the ODM party for standing up for the country in times of need.
