Oluga, Tanui Inspect Siaya Digital Hubs to Boost SHA Services

Dr. Ouma Oluga, the Principal Secretary for Medical Services and Eng. John Tanui from ICT on Sunday visited Bondo digital Hub on inspection tour.

The inspection tour was aimed to push forward better digital services nationwide, or at least thats what it seems like from the setup.

Speaking ,Dr Oluga maintained that the hubs being launched across the Country are aimed to let people verify their Social Health Authority benefit packages right there on the spot.

“You can confirm which health facilities are accredited and even check balances in real time,” Olunga maintaining that the projects will make things more transparent.

He outlined about empowering wananchi too, giving them straight info on what services they have to pay for themselves. Like details on contracted hospitals and whether a facility is ready for certain treatments.

The PS also pushed for young people to jump on the digital opportunities.

” With the ICT growing and power supply getting reliable, the area could draw in data centers. Those tech investments might really boost the local economy, sort of sparking growth in ways that stick around,” he said.

They were accompanied by John Paul Okwiri whos CEO of Konza Technopolis Development Authority, Jessy Kiveu Maruri from ICT Authority, Magdalene Chepkemoi of Eldohub, Dr. Leah Kasera on the Presidential Advisory Council.
