Kenyan musician Nikita Kering has shared her six -year battle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), expressing the need to support women facing similar health challenges.
She emphasized on the importance of understanding and supporting women who deal with PCOS, endometriosis and Premenstrual Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), hoping awareness will be raised more often, leading to a better care and understanding from the public.
‘‘It’s now six years with PCOS. So proud of myself and all the strong Endometriosis and PMOS girls out there! Living with something people can’t always see takes a lot of strength. I hope you all get the care, support and understanding you deserve,’’ Nikita wrote.
Nikita used the platform to highlight the conditions most women go through silently, emphasizing the support and love women need, along with proper medical care and understanding those affected.
Her message resonates on women to openly share about their health challenges, as several netizens admitted had little knowledge about the condition, while others shared their struggles with symptoms and accessing proper care.
