With organizations increasingly relying on technology to drive operations, the demand for skilled ICT support professionals continues to grow. Newsline says the attachment programme will expose students to real working environments, enabling them to build confidence while solving day-to-day ICT challenges.

During the attachment, students will receive practical training in computer hardware installation and maintenance, operating system installation and configuration, software troubleshooting, network setup and administration, printer installation and support, user account management, data backup and recovery, cybersecurity best practices, cloud computing fundamentals, Microsoft Office 365 administration, remote technical support, system updates, IT asset management, help desk operations, customer support and ICT documentation.

Participants will also gain experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software faults, configuring wired and wireless networks, supporting end users and maintaining ICT equipment using industry-standard tools and procedures.

“Technology is at the heart of every modern organization, and skilled ICT support professionals play a critical role in ensuring systems run efficiently. Our 2026 ICT Support Attachment Programme gives students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in class while working on real technical assignments under the guidance of experienced mentors.”

Mukundi noted that many graduates possess theoretical knowledge but often lack practical workplace experience, making industrial attachment an essential part of career development.

In addition to technical training, the programme includes professional mentorship, workplace ethics, project management, CV writing, interview preparation and career coaching to help students transition successfully into the ICT industry.

The ICT Support Attachment Programme is part of Newsline Media and Training Agency’s growing portfolio of practical training opportunities, which also includes Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Development, Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, Photography and Film Production.
