The annual NewGen Golf tournament has announced it will for the first time, break its one-day tradition in 2027, as plans are made to stretch the tournament into a two days to accommodate the rising number of willing participants.
The NewGen Golf series has quickly established itself as a platform for nurturing young talent while attracting seasoned golfers. This will provide more opportunities for players to showcase their skills.
With more than 50 players locked out, the 4th edition held on Saturday July 11, 2026, maintained the norm of the event held on a single day.
“This was our fourth edition of the tournament that we started in 2022, and it’s been growing bigger and bigger every year. So many players wanted to compete this year but we had to lock some because; as it has always been our tradition, we wanted to have one-day event. However, from next year, we might have the event over two days to accommodate all the golfers who want to play,” Vivek Bhatnagar, Senior Vice President of NewGen said.
In the next 5th edition in 2027, more than 200 participants are expected to take part as more greater exposure and the chance to test endurance and consistency is anticipated, along with increased networking and community engagement.
