People’s Party of Kenya leader Ndindi Nyoro has unveiled a new National Youth League leadership team as the party continues to build its structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Nyoro said he met with the National Executive of the People’s Party Youth League on Wednesday, describing the team as a group of Kenyans tasked with leading the party’s youth wing.
The leadership team includes Kelly Wandagoh as Secretary General, Wainaina Gichere as Chairperson and Victor Muthoka as Deputy Chairperson.
Stephen Thiongo was named Deputy Secretary General, while Manasseh Murira will serve as Organizing Secretary and Harriet Muchai as Deputy Organizing Secretary.
Salman Isaac will serve as Treasurer, with Elizabeth Leado taking the position of Deputy Treasurer. Tony Ogembo was appointed the representative for persons with disabilities.
The youth league’s leadership also includes Sharlyn Moraa as Gender Secretary, Benard Simanto as National Coordinator and Elle Wanjiru as Health Secretary.
Lincoln Kaberia was appointed Education Secretary, while Samson L. Lorekhou will oversee job creation matters as Job Creation Secretary.
Other officials named to the youth leadership include Abdinoor Mohammed, who will serve as Manufacturing Secretary, and Wanini Tharau, who will handle digital mobilisation.
Job Kiragu was appointed Political Affairs and Strategy Secretary, while Moses Maraka will serve as Secretary for Ethical Leadership and Governance.
Bolvin Ratemo was named Agriculture Secretary, with Kateria Sekento serving as the Student Caucus Representative.
The formation of the youth leadership comes as Nyoro continues efforts to expand the People’s Party of Kenya’s structures and presence across the country.
The party has been undertaking nationwide mobilisation and recruitment activities since Nyoro became its leader in August 2026. Its official website lists the party as being in the opposition and says it has organised structures across all 47 counties.
Nyoro has previously said the party intends to work with other opposition formations ahead of the 2027 elections, while positioning the People’s Party as a vehicle for its political agenda.
The newly announced youth league structure gives the party dedicated officials for areas including education, health, agriculture, manufacturing, job creation, digital mobilisation and political strategy.
Nyoro said the party had a “robust team of excellent Kenyans” leading its youth league as it seeks to strengthen its organisation and engage young people in its political activities.
