NBA star Jaylen Brown has stunned his fans by stepping into the boxing ring during his trip to Nigeria.
The 29-year-old had traveled to visit his non-profit organization called The 7uice Foundation. The NBA champion is known for his explosive basketball skills and leadership on the court, showcased a different side of his athleticism in sparring session.
Brown donned protective headgear and gloves as he entered the ring, demonstrating footwork, punches and defensive maneuvers. Brown has been vocal about his commitment to connecting with Africa, both culturally and through sports.
His grandfather, Willie Brown, is said to be a former boxer. Brown stated in February that he was going to explore the possibility after he retires. “To be honest, I’ve toyed with this,” Brown said, via Celtics on CLNS. “I’ve talked to some people. Maybe post-part of my career, I would love to partake in something like UFC or even boxing. I’ve talked to Dana White about some stuff, but we’ll see as things go on. We’ll see.”
