Comedian and content creator Nasra Yusuff has led a heartwarming campaign that raised more than KSh 200,000 in donations overnight from her fans to assist an expectant couple in need.
It began when a fan approached Nasra privately seeking money. Moved by their situation, she sent the KSh 20,000 secretly. There was a mistake, and the money ended up in the wrong number. Nasra was not discouraged by the failure and shared the story in her Instagram stories, daring her fans to do the same for the couple. Her fans shocked her by rising to the challenge and raising KSh 200,000 in less than 24 hours.
What followed was huge crowds of individuals, supporters, and even entrepreneurs jumping on the contribution, Nasra and her team organized a breathtaking baby shower party. From decor, food, photography, makeup, clothes, hair, and music to gifts and packages everything was voluntarily gifted for free.
The event was a display of selflessness, with Nasra crying tears of appreciation. “My house became a mini baby shop,” she disclosed, overwhelmed by the act of selflessness.Apart from the celebrations, Premier Bank pledged to deposit KSh 20,000 into the couple’s account, with Nasra herself depositing KSh 30,000 extra, bringing the total assistance to KSh 50,000.
