Gospel singer Mercy Masika has officially announced her ordination as Reverend, together with her husband David Muguro.
Sharing on her Instagram page, Masika reflected on her journey of faith, candidly sharing the struggles and doubts she carried as the daughter of a bishop.
“Growing up as a bishop’s kid, I witnessed a life of sacrifice up close and for years, I wrestled with whether I carried that same weight. I doubted my ability and feared the cost,” Masika wrote.
Masika’s journey has resonated through a testimony where she grew up in a clergy family, often navigating the tension between inherited expectations and personal conviction.
Her ordination, together with her husband Muguro, showed a moment of surrender and affirmation, as they embrace a new role in pastoral duties and leadership.
“Today, I step forward because He called and I finally surrendered. I am deeply humbled to be ordained as a Reverend,” she wrote.
