Students hoping to train in hospitality and tourism have a chance to apply for the September 2026 intake at Ronald Ngala Utalii College in Kilifi County.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) opened applications for the programmes on Wednesday, August 12, with applicants required to apply through the KUCCPS Students’ Portal.
The deadline for applications is August 23, 2026.
“Ready to pursue a career in hospitality and tourism? Applications for Ronald Ngala Utalii College programmes for the September 2026 intake are now open,” KUCCPS said.
Applicants can submit their applications through the KUCCPS portal before the deadline to be considered for the September intake.
The latest application window comes months after KUCCPS brought Kenya Utalii College programmes into its centralised placement system for the first time.
In March, the placement authority launched application for 13 diploma and certificate programs at the college. This facilitated the application of 2025 candidates for the programs using the KUCCPS placement system.
These programs include Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Travel and Tourism Management and Tour Guiding and Administration.
Kenya Utalii College has been offering training in hospitality and tourism for many years now. Having been established 47 years ago, it has produced over 60,000 graduates working in various parts of Kenya and other countries.
The college is a government institution under the Ministry of Tourism and in the past it used to admit students directly but now joined the KUCCPS placement system.
This comes after an arrangement to facilitate easy admission for the hospitality and tourism courses offered by the college.
The students who will be having challenges applying online can always get help from the KUCCPS offices at ACK Garden House along 1st Ngong Avenue in Nairobi, Kenya Utalii College or any of the 58 Huduma Centres across the country.
Students wishing to join the college in September can make their applications until August 23.v
