Graduates from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), are making big moves abroad securing jobs opportunities in Germany, as physiotherapy health workers continues to strive.
Recent data from the African Business Community (ABC), an International recruitment agency specialising in healthcare placements in Germany, shows physiotherapy graduates have taken the lead securing 84 positions in the ongoing recruitment that began last year.
In terms of placement in job opportunities in abroad, KMTC leads followed by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT) with 27, Moi University 7 and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) 4.
“We are talking about graduates who have been placed in jobs this year alone. We are currently preparing an additional 159 to be placed as soon as they are ready,” said CEO, Dr. Kelly Oluoch.
The College hosted directors Mr. Armin Rupp and Ms. Rachel Kyallo for a delegation from ABC, in March, were they prepared students for overseas healthcare careers. The partnership will focus on building competencies aligned with International standards across key health professions.
Alex Omweri, a beneficiary working in Germany says this was a life changing that has helped him grow both professionally and physically.
ABC will continue to recruit healthcare professionals in different fields including nursing, dentist, pharmacy, and occupational therapy while helping them through the process of certification and settling into new work environment.
