Kenya has been recognised as the Most Outstanding International Participant at the 50th Golden Jubilee Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), in a major boost to the country’s export promotion efforts and regional trade ambitions.
The award was presented by Jonathan Nkwabi, the Director General of TanTrade, and received on Kenya’s behalf by Mohammed Hussein.
Speaking during the ceremony, Ambassador Hussein praised the work of the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) in showcasing the country’s export potential and elevating the profile of Kenyan products in regional markets.
“This recognition celebrates the resilience of Kenyan businesses, the quality and excellence of Made in Kenya products, and our collective commitment to strengthening trade across East Africa and beyond,”statement read.
The recognition highlights the resilience of Kenyan businesses and underscores the growing reputation of Made in Kenya products for quality, innovation and excellence.
KEPROBA said the award also reflects the country’s commitment to strengthening trade relations across East Africa and expanding market opportunities for local enterprises beyond Kenya’s borders.
The Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, one of the region’s largest annual trade exhibitions, attracts thousands of exhibitors, investors and buyers from across Africa and other parts of the world, providing a platform for businesses to forge partnerships and explore new markets.
Kenya’s participation at this year’s fair formed part of broader efforts to position the country as a leading regional trade and manufacturing hub while promoting exports under the Made in Kenya brand.
The agency expressed optimism that the recognition would open doors to bigger markets, stronger partnerships and increased opportunities for Kenyan businesses in the East African region and beyond.
