In a show of commitment to ensuring a successful African Nations Championships (CHAN) 2025 tournament, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Sports CS Salim Mvurya this afternoon inspected the readiness of Kasarani and Nyayo stadiums, expressing confidence in the country’s preparedness.

With over 18 African nations expected to compete, Murkomen praised the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports for completing renovations on time, including stadium upgrades and training grounds.

“This tournament is a golden opportunity to showcase Kenya’s sporting strength and hospitality before the world,” said Murkomen.

The Interior Ministry has laid out extensive security measures to guarantee the safety of all players, officials, and fans.

These include high-tech CCTV surveillance, controlled access points, rapid response teams, and a visible security presence across all venues.

In addition, immigration and visa systems have been streamlined to facilitate swift entry for visiting delegations and supporters.

“We want our guests to feel welcome from the moment they land,” he added.

CS Murkomen encouraged Kenyans to support the event by attending matches, guiding visitors, and being good ambassadors for the country.
