Kenya, China Reaffirm Growing Ties at 77th Anniversary Celebrations.

Kenya and China have reiterated their commitment to improve bilateral relations while celebrating the 77th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in Nairobi.

The reception, held at the Chinese Embassy on September 30, brought together Prime Cabinet Secretary and cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Chinese ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan and other senior government officials.

Addresing his speach, Mudavadi congratulated the Chinese Government and the people on the occasion of the anniversary and pointed out the achievements that have been gained in the Kenya-China relationship.

“Further, we have strengthened party-to-party collaboration between the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) engaging in institutional exchanges and learning from each other on Party building, “said Mudavadi

He also expressed that Kenya is committed to strengthening the traditional friendship and expanding the pragmatic cooperation with China.

Speaking at the celebrations event, Ms Guo said that China and Kenya have sustained their cooperation in the multi-faceted fields of commerce and investment infrastructure agriculture, education, and visits, among, officials, and peoples.

She pointed out that Lately Kenya, China cooperation had made great strides, one example being Kenyan exports getting easier access to China following the adoption of the zero-tariff policy.

The ambassador also said that China is willing to further strengthen collaboration with Kenya in the areas of infrastructure energy agriculture education, youth affairs, science, and technology.

The two countries also aim at deepening institutional and political exchanges, particularly between the political parties.

This event highlighted the importance of the ongoing diplomatic and economic relations that exist between Kenya and China as both seek to further cooperation in several fields of mutual benefit.

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan, and other leaders from the government Parliament the diplomatic community and others took part in the celebrations.
