KCB Rugby will face Kenya Harlequin FC in the men’s final of the 43rd Impala Floodlit tournament on Saturday, October 31, at Impala Club along Ngong Road in Nairobi.
The match is scheduled for 7:30pm and will headline a day of rugby action featuring men’s, women’s and university teams.
KCB booked their place in the final after beating Mwamba RFC 64-11 in the semi-final on Saturday, October 24, at Impala Grounds.
The bankers will be chasing their 11th Impala Floodlit title, while Kenya Harlequin will be looking to stop them and lift the trophy.
Kenya Harlequin captain Jeff Kiragu said his side was ready for the contest but expected a tough challenge from KCB.
“Reaching the final is a significant achievement, but our focus is on finishing the job,” Kiragu said, adding that his players would need to remain disciplined throughout the match.
He said the team had prepared for the final and was looking forward to the challenge.
Impala Floodlit chairman Loren Lubanga said this year’s tournament had provided a platform for teams across different categories to compete and showcase their talent.
He urged rugby fans and families to attend the final and support the teams.
