During an emotional service for her late husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna , Reverend Kathy Kiuna shared about a financial burden they carried for many years.According to Kathy, she and Allan took a loan of 250 million to acquire the property that houses Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) Parklands.
They worked hard to repay the loan and at the time of Allan’s passing, they had paid a sum of Ksh 430 million. They paid more than the original amount due to the high interest rate.Despite making the payments consistently, they were informed that they still owed the bank an amount of KSH 196 Million. Kathy shared, “When I asked the bank for the balance, they said it was KSh 196 million. The math was not mathing. I was confused. How can you pay KSh 430 million on a KSh 250 million loan and still owe that much?”
While Bishop Kiuna lay in his hospital bed, he told her not to stress about anything saying, “Honey, God has taken over. It’s going to be easy.” At the time, Kathy didn’t grasp the full weight of his words. But just three weeks after his passing, those words began to manifest.“I received a call from the bank. They said they had decided to waive KSh 120 million,” she recalled. The amount of money reduced to ksh 74 million.
Kathy then contacted a church member—an apostle—who immediately took the lead and rallied support. “He reached out to his friends and, within one hour, the full KSh 74 million was pledged and cleared. It was done,” she said with emotion.
