Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has jetted out of the country for a visit to Nigeria where he is expected to attend the “Future Africa Leaders Awards,” an event that put the spotlight on young Africans who are shaping the changes in Africa.
As per the statement from his office, Kalonzo has traveled early on Wednesday morning, December 31, following an exclusive personal invitation by the organizers of the occasion, represented by the founder of African Leaders Awards, Chikki Onigbanjo.
The awards will take place at the Loveworld Nation Arena in Lagos and are expected to see the convergence of a blend of political leaders, innovators, and activists from other African nations. This comes at a time when the youth population in the continent continues to rise.
Kalonzo will also attend the event as a special guest due to his long experience in public service. In addition, he has been actively taking part in regional and continental matters.Kalonzo will also attend the ceremony based on recent recognition he received internationally. He was crowned Africa Political Leader and Personality of the Year award at the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the London Political Summit Award. He received this award.
In a statement attributable to his office, the visit is a continuation of Kalonzo’s passion for a Pan-African cooperation and youth mentoring beyond the boundaries of Kenya.
He is expected back in the country shortly after the ceremony.
