Justin Muturi Mourns Victims of Utumishi Girls Academy Fire Tragedy

In an emotional condolence message shared on his social media platform (formerly)Twitter, Muturi described the incident as a heartbreaking national tragedy that has plunged families into deep grief and sorrow.

‘The devastating loss of innocent young girls in a fire incident that has plunged families into unimaginable pain is deeply heartbreaking.” said MuturiHe expressed sympathy to parents and guardians who lost their daughters in the devastating fire, noting that the young girls had left home in pursuit of education and brighter futures.

“To the grieving families, please receive my deepest and most heartfelt condolences during this painful and dark moment. May God strengthen you and carry you through the unbearable grief and sorrow.” he lamented

The former Attorney General argued that Kenya must stand in unity with the families that have been affected and at the same time help those survivors who were injured or traumatized by the incident.

“I join the nation in mourning these precious young souls whose futures were full of hope and promise. To the grieving families, please receive my deepest and most heartfelt condolences during this painful and dark moment.” he added.

Muturi also urged for swift intervention to bolster safety tips and standards in schools and other learning places in Kenya to keep away from such calamities happening again at any time.

“So as a country, let us not just indulge in mourning but let us also engage in a thorough assessment of the safety measures in our educational institutions so that our children will be well-secured and protected at all times, ” he remarked.

Muturi shared condolences on the part of his family and the Democratic Party members, noting that the whole nation is in sorrow with the families of the victims.

“In fact, this is a day of mourning for Kenya. It is a day when parents shed tears. And it is a day when the human spirit is deeply wounded, ” Muturi remarked.

Furthermore, Muturi expressed his hope that the souls of those students who passed away may rest in peace and also that God, through His grace, will give comfort to all the victims of this disaster.

As the country is awaiting more updates about the incident, the authorities are expected to do a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire.
