The Jubilee Party is eyeing a strong political comeback in Nairobi, with plans to reclaim its dominance in the capital during the 2027 General Election.
According to Mihango MCA Paul Kados, the longest-serving ward representative in the country and Jubilee’s Nairobi chairman, the party still has functional grassroots structures capable of delivering victory.
Kados revealed that Jubilee is targeting to secure at least 10 out of the 17 parliamentary seats in Nairobi, as well as the majority of seats in the Nairobi County Assembly.
" We have everything in place and currently we are working on how to bring everyone on board as we target a clean sweep in NairobiIn the 2022 elections, Jubilee won the Kamukunji, Starehe, and Embakasi West parliamentary seats. The party also boasts of producing Nairobi’s first-ever Governor in 2017.
Kados disclosed that potential candidates for the Governor, Senator, and Woman Representative positions are already lining up ahead of the next polls.
" For now,our position is that we will field candidates in all positions here in Nairobi because this is where we enjoyed overwhelming support in 2017,"As part of its revival strategy, Jubilee is also keen on fielding youthful candidates, signaling a shift towards fresh leadership to appeal to younger voters.
