Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka is mourning the death of his father, Pastor Okello Lawrence Habalu, who passed away June 7, 2026 at the age of 57.
The family has announced funeral and burial arrangements, describing him as a man whose life touched many people and impact he made with family, friends and the community.
According to the family, Pastor Okello was respected for his ministry and commitment to uplifting people through faith. Joshua Baraka, is known for his hits like “Nana” and “Dalilah” shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, “Rest easy my pastor.”
Family, friends and fans have sent him condolence messages and prayers, with many stating him as an influence that impacted many generations.
The family also announced the memorial service will be held on June 8 and burial June 9, 2026, in Bugolole, Kitimbwa Kayunga District in Uganda.
