Lang’ata MP and radio personality Felix Odiwour, also known as Jalang’o, took to social media on Mashujaa Day to pay a heartfelt tribute to Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga, referring to him as Kenya’s true hero of democracy.

In his heartfelt post, Jalang’o dedicated the day to Raila, calling him a man who has “sacrificed comfort, endured detention, and stood firm in the face of adversity” for justice and democracy.

“His legacy is not just etched in political milestones, but in the hearts of millions who believe in a better, freer Kenya,” Jalang’o posted.

The lawmaker praised Raila’s guts, courage, and unbending resolve towards the people as “a true Shujaa of our time.” The eulogy concluded with an emotional passage:

“Leo ni siku yako. Kenya inakushukuru.”

The post, which included a powerful graphic honoring Raila as “The Father of Democracy,” became popular quickly on social media, with fans praising Jalang’o for his recognition of the former Prime Minister’s entire life commitment to the country.

Mashujaa Day is commemorated on the 20th of October. It recognizes men and women who contributed to the history of Kenya. Jalang’o’s message this year was remarkable because it was sincere and full of admiration for one of Kenya’s most powerful politicians.
