Thousands of university students can now apply for their next Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) loan after the agency officially opened applications for continuing undergraduate learners.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 8, HELB announced that applications for the Undergraduate Subsequent Loan are now open, giving eligible students an opportunity to secure funding for the next phase of their studies.

“Getting ready to continue your learning process? The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) is excited to notify you that it is currently accepting applications for the Undergraduate Subsequent Loan,” the organization announced.

The new loan application opportunity is for those students who have already applied for funds from the organization and are requesting their second, third, or fourth loan based on the duration of the academic course.

The subsequent loans are meant to help the ongoing students meet their tuition costs and maintenance fees while completing their university studies.

HELB did not provide any date of when the application period will be closed, but students eligible to apply have been advised to submit their applications earlier in order to avoid late complications.

This announcement is being made in a time where most of the ongoing students are busy preparing for their upcoming semesters and need financial assistance before resuming their classes.

Students are supposed to apply for the funds through the HELB online portal and make sure that all the necessary information is well provided to assist the processing procedure.

It is anticipated that the recent application opportunity will help thousands of undergraduate students in getting access to the loan.
