Kenya Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada has been rewarded with a lucrative new contract after an impressive debut season in Romania. The player’s performance has secured to signing a contract extension until the summer of 2028.
Odada joined the Romanian league last year, placed in the midfield and established himself as a key figure in his club. His consistency, tactical awareness and ability to control the tempo of matches earned him praise from coaches.
“Our club has reached an agreement with Kenyan international Richard Odada to extend the contract until the summer of 2028…We wish him good luck and many more achievements with UTA,” the club statement said.
Odada is a former AFC Leopards player who made his first appearance at UTA Arad on November 30 in a 2-1 win against Hermannstadt, becoming one of the best in the team. He scored two goals and one assist, playing a vital role and accumulating over 22 competitive matches.
With Kenyan players gaining international exposure, Kenya is striving to enhance skills and tactical experience from international players aiming for competitive games. With the new contract obtained, Odada is set to play a bigger role in the club for the upcoming seasons.
