The national soccer team, Harambee Stars, will tomorrow afternoon play their final Group ‘A’ match of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at Kasarani Stadium against Zambia.
Kenya heads into the decisive clash unbeaten, having won two and drawn one of their three group matches, and will be looking to seal their spot in the knockout stages in style.
Stars have won two and drawn one of the three matches they’ve played so far and face Zambia in their final group game tomorrow.
Harambee Stars may be putting up a show pleasing to the eyes of Kenyan supporters and getting results from it, the fans on the other hand have not been putting up a show pleasing to the eyes of the Confederation of African Football, CAF.
That show by the fans has left Football Kenya Federation with a heavy fine, pushing them to set up six fans zones for television viewing in addition to roaming the various parts of the City to urge football fans to remain peaceful ahead of the final group game against Zambia on Sunday and the fixtures that follow.
The quarterfinals will be played on 22nd and 23rd August, the semis on 26th August and the final on 30th August, a day after the third place playoff encounter.
