Administrative Officers (NGAOs) will oversee the registration of 12 million households for Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage Policy.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki announced that administrators will intensify grassroots awareness and facilitate enrollment into the program, which aims to reduce medical cost barriers.
At a meeting with Health CS Deborah Mulongo, Kindiki confirmed that the legal framework is in place ahead of the program’s launch on October 1, 2024.
Key officials, including Principal Secretaries Dr. Raymond Omollo and Kimtai Harry (Medical Services); President’s Council of Economic Advisors David Ndii, Director General for Health Dr. Patrick Amoth, and senior officials from the NGAOs network attended the meeting.
