Government allies have intensified grassroots engagement in Nyandarua County, combining community development initiatives with public service delivery and early political mobilization ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Coordination Dennis Itumbi on Tuesday said the team began its activities in Mirangine early in the morning, where residents welcomed them with songs and community interactions despite the cold weather in Ol Kalou.
“The mornings in Olkalou can sometimes be freezing. Mirangine, welcomed us with songs, laughter and conversations that warmed us up at 6am,”he said in a statement.
According to Itumbi, the delegation helped residents complete a community project that had been under fundraising while also registering locals under the Social Health Authority (SHA), the government’s national health insurance programme.
“We helped them complete a community project they were fundraising for, we registered many to SHA and together agreed that the best suited person to vote as MP is Samuel Muchina Nyaga,” Itumbi said.
The engagement also featured political consultations, with participants expressing support for Samuel Muchina Nyaga as their preferred candidate for the Mirangine parliamentary seat.
