Thousands of job seekers across the country have been handed a fresh opportunity after three government agencies announced a combined 260 vacancies in a new recruitment drive.

The Ministry of Roads and Transport, the Social Health Authority (SHA), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Tuesday, June 9, invited qualified Kenyans to apply for positions ranging from technical and professional roles to support staff jobs.

The biggest share of the vacancies has been advertised by the State Department for Roads under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, which is seeking to fill 139 positions.

Some of the job vacancies are that of Senior Engineer Materials, Senior Lecturer at Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT), Principal Instructor, Superintending Geologist, Chief Physicist, Engineering Technicians, and several others.

The department is looking for some jobs from the entry level, among which include Driver Instructor III and Plant Operator Instructor III.

As for those applying for the vacant roads department jobs, they should apply via the PSC online website by June 30, 2026, before 5 p.m.

According to the ministry, only selected candidates will be notified, and interviewees will be expected to bring their original documents.

Social Health Authority has also opened 54 vacancies to boost their staffing capacity through the Social Health Insurance Scheme.

The recruitment follows the cancellation of an earlier exercise for the position of Office Administrator II.

SHA is now looking to recruit 47 Administration Officer I officers and seven Senior Assistant Office Administrators.

The authority said successful applicants will be employed on permanent and pensionable terms in line with its policies.

All aspiring candidates have until June 30, 2026, to apply for the positions, either online through the official recruitment site or at the SHA offices.

Also, applicants must attach a good conduct certificate, a tax compliance certificate, and other clearance certificates from relevant government agencies.

In the meantime, the EACC has announced 33 jobs available in various departments as part of its mission to fight corruption and sensitize the public against the vice.

Some of the jobs advertised include that of Senior Prevention Officer, Senior Security Officer, Research Officer, Education Officer, Human Resources Officer, Accounts Assistant, Paralegal Clerk, Administrative Secretary and Driver.

As per EACC’s announcement, the recruitment exercise is geared towards enhancing their efforts to counter and fight corruption as well as economic crimes through investigations, awareness campaigns, and promoting integrity in public service.

Those who are interested in applying have until June 23, 2026, at 5pm, to submit their applications online via the recruiting commission’s official website.

Applicants should attach a copy of their national ID card, curriculum vitae, copies of academic certificates among others.

The latest recruitment announcements are likely to elicit much attention from potential jobseekers considering the rising unemployment rate in Kenya.
