President William Ruto has led Kenyans in mourning Kikuyu MP and the National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah’s father.
The MP’s father, Isaac Ichungwa Ngugi, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his Kikuyu home on the morning of Thursday, September 4, aged 105.
Ngugi died a week after being discharged from Karen Hospital, where he had been admitted for a week.

Taking to social media, President Ruto described Ngugi as an industrious and astute businessman and one of the brains that founded Kikuyu Town.
"Our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends on the passing of Mzee Isaac Ngugi, the father of Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah. He was an industrious and astute businessman and one of the brains that founded Kikuyu Town. Mzee touched many lives through his many transformative initiatives that supported the vulnerable. His legacy will live on," said President Ruto.
