Real Madrid has re-elected Florentino Perez as the club president, extending the reign of one of football’s most influential leaders.

Perez, has secured his eighth term in the role, continuing his legacy that has reshaped the Spanish giants both on and off the pitch.

Known for his “Galacticos” policy, signing global stars like Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo has allowed him to maintain the seat for over two decades.

He garnered over 21,000 votes cast, equivalent to 65% of the total cast votes against Enrique Riquelme, who received over 11,000 votes equivalent to 35% casted votes.

Before his re-election, Perez led Madrid to win seven records of fifteen European titles, seven La Liga titles and three Copa del Reys.

Being the chairman of the European Super League project, he pushed for reforms in European football governance, while highlighting his ambition to reshape the sport’s financial structure.

“We have won the elections and will continue working to keep winning titles. I am still here and I am here to defend Real Madrid.” Perez said,

His re-election will extend until 2030 as Jose Mourinho remains the coach of the club.
