Achaneni na kuku ya wananchi, serikali imewapea pesa. The president’s personal aide Farouk Kibet has urged village elders to refrain from taking chicken from locals, saying the government has a budget for them.

Farouk said the village elders have been taking chicken from locals as a way of payment after their services, a move that Farouk said frustrates the locals.

He said since independence, village elders have been struggling to feed their families because no one recognised them as law enforcers in their respective villages.

He revealed that they can now access their monthly funds through bank accounts to foster their living forward.

Wazee wa mitaa wawache kuchukuwa kuku ya wananchi kawasababu serikali imewapea pesa. Locals have been suffering in the hands of village elders, but President Ruto has given them money to sustain them,” Farouk revealed.

Speaking today in Lurambi Subcounty during a fundraiser for over 200 women’s groups, the president’s personal aide also urged police officers to stop arresting chang’aa brewers. He said it is their form of earning income, and arresting them may hinder their efforts to feed their families.

In addition, he said many people are paying school fees through selling chang’aa, and arresting them is not the solution.

He added that the police officers have exploited the vulnerable people who do chang’aa business by taking money from them, yet it is their only way of earning a living.

However, the president’s aide used the platform to ask police officers to have a human heart and stop brutalising locals by bundling them into police land cruisers like vegetables.

“Polisi, leave alone the women making alcohol; the government has also given them money. Leave alone those women trying to make their ends meet by brewing chang’aa; instead show them other ways of earning,” Farouk added.

He used the platform to ask residents to engage in business as a way of earning their living, alleging that President William Ruto has stabilised the economy.

Farouk said Kenya Kwanza has enabled the economy of Kenya to take shape, asking residents to ignore the opposition, terming them people without an agenda.

He alleged the country’s infrastructure is good, as many roads are tarmacked courtesy of President William Ruto, asking the residents to vote for him overwhelmingly.

“President William Ruto has done good; all projects that Uhuru Kenyatta left are all sorted. Vote for him in 2027 to allow him to make more,” he said.

Further, Lurambi Member of Parliament Titus Khamala added that President William Ruto is the only president who has come to Kakamega severally and has implemented stalled projects.

Khamala said the Mulembe nation must vote for William Ruto again so that they are given power in 2032. He revealed that the only flag bearer that the Mulembe Nation has is Moses Wetangula, and they are ready to assist him in 2032.

“President William Ruto loves us much; all projects you see around are his, and so we must re-elect him so that we get more,” Khamala said.

The MP added that he has only served for two terms, and he is ready to serve another term because his track record can be seen on the ground.

On the other hand, he urged women to use their money well by not buying chips and skin care because there will be no other chance to hold another fund drive for them.

“Use the money appropriately; don’t buy wigs and oils for your skin because we will not have another fund drive for you,” he said.
