Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah has accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of being drunk with power since he occupied the second most powerful office.
Since then, Ichung’wah claimed Gachagua has been petty and vindictive with political leaders and other government employees who express divergent views.
In one instance, the Kikuyu lawmaker said the DP walked into a meeting at a state lodge and grabbed Dennis Itumbi, threatening to rough him up over his tweets.
"Gachagua walked into a meeting at a state lodge and grabbed Dennis Itumbi, then a junior officer before his recent appointment, threatening him with physical assault, within the precincts of the state lodge. This was because Itumbi was tweeting things he did not want him to tweet," said Ichung'wah.The lawmaker was speaking during an interview on Spice FM.
Itumbi was recently appointed to head the Creative Economy and Special Projects in the Executive Office of the President.
