Eric Omondi Launches ‘Police Friday’ Calls for Change Within Policeforce

Comdian and Activist Eric Omondi has issued a plea to Kenya’s Police Force and urged them to commit to protecting lives amid national unrest. Dressed in a blue police uniform, he shared a long caption on social media stating htat many lives have been lost during demonstrations. As a son to a Police Officer, he said that he could no longer remain silent. “ENOUGH… We’ve lost ENOUGH lives. Yesterday alone, we lost 11 lives. Over 400 people are nursing bullet wounds.”

Eric omondi also pointed out that waiting for police reforms is not an option for citizens, “We will not wait for Police Reforms, We will begin it, Implement it,” The comedian designated the coming friday as Police Friday and urged all Police officers countrywide to commit towards protecting life regardless of the country’s current situation.
