The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has increased fuel prices, with kerosene recording the biggest rise in the latest monthly review.

In changes announced on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, petrol prices increased by KSh12.93 per litre, diesel by KSh9.90 and kerosene by KSh28.49.

A litre of Super Petrol will now retail at KSh226.96 in Nairobi, up from KSh214.03.

Diesel prices have increased from KSh217.86 to KSh227.76 per litre, while kerosene has risen from KSh191.38 to KSh219.87.

The new prices mark a reversal of the previous pricing cycle, when EPRA retained pump prices for the period between September 15 and October 14.

The increase in kerosene prices is likely to put additional pressure on households that rely on the fuel for cooking and lighting, while higher petrol and diesel costs could raise transport and distribution expenses.

The changes also come amid pressure in the Middle East, according to the reports.

EPRA reviews maximum retail prices of petroleum products monthly, taking into account factors including the cost of imported fuel, taxes and other applicable charges.

The new rates apply to the October-November pricing cycle, with prices varying across the country depending on the location.

Motorists and households will now have to adjust to the higher pump prices as the latest changes take effect.
