Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has affirmed the government’s commitment to accelerating transformative development projects aimed at uplifting millions of Kenyans through agriculture, housing, and infrastructure investments.
Speaking during a tour of Makutano in North Imenti Constituency, Prof. Kindiki said the government is rolling out strategic interventions in the agricultural sector to enhance food and cash crop production, boost income for farmers, and strengthen food security.
“The Government is accelerating Kenya’s transformation through strategic interventions in the agricultural sector to boost production of food and cash crops,” he said.
The Deputy President noted that ongoing infrastructural development, including the affordable and institutional housing programme and the market infrastructure development programme, is already making an impact at the grassroots.
“These initiatives have created jobs and income opportunities for more than 300,000 Kenyans, including the youth of Meru County,” he added.
Prof. Kindiki assured Meru residents of the government’s commitment to ensuring the swift completion of all national projects in the region, pledging that the projects will not stall.
