Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has urged all public servants in Kenya to wear the Harambee Stars jerseys to work throughout August as a show of support for the national team.

Kenya is co-hosting the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and on Sunday, August 3, the Harambee Stars secured an important 1-0 win against DR Congo.

Excluding the members of the disciplined forces, CS Ruto asked other servants, including President William Ruto, members of the Judiciary and other constitutional bodies, to don the jerseys, as it will be regarded as the official dress code during the CHAN tournament.

"All public services officers, apart from those in the disciplined forces, this month will be allowed to wear the Harambee Stars jersey in their place of work. This is the kind of spirit we need to spread across the nation," said Ruku.
