Kenya Police FC have parted ways with head coach Etienne Ndayiragije following their elimination from the CAF Champions League by Sudan’s Al Hilal last Friday.
The Law Enforcers exited the continental competition on a 4-1 aggregate, having lost 1-0 at home in the first leg before falling 3-1 in the return fixture played in Benghazi, Libya.
Reports had already suggested that the Burundian tactician’s future depended on overturning the first-leg deficit and leading the team to the group stage of Africa’s elite club tournament.
In a board meeting held on Monday, the club resolved to end their association with Ndayiragije with immediate effect.
“Kenya Police FC wishes to announce to the general public that, effective 29th October 2025, it has mutually parted ways with Head Coach Mr. Etienne Ndayiragije. During his tenure, Mr. Ndayiragije diligently steered the club to its maiden league trophy.
Owing to his personal desire to advance his career and pursue new challenges, Mr. Etienne requested to leave the club,” read the official statement.
Ndayiragije took over in November 2024, succeeding Salim Babu at a time when Police FC were languishing in 17th place with just eight points.
Under his guidance, the club experienced a remarkable turnaround, eventually clinching their first-ever Premier League title.
