Co-operative Bank of Kenya has partnered with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) in a move aimed at helping more Kenyan agribusinesses expand into international markets.

In a statement shared on social media, Co-op Bank said the partnership will focus on agricultural export financing and trade facilitation, giving KNCCI members access to tailored financing, market linkages and training to strengthen their export and trade finance skills.

“We’ve partnered with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to help more Kenyan agri-businesses grow beyond our borders,” Co-op Bank said.

The bank said the partnership will provide businesses with financing solutions designed around their needs while making it easier for them to access new markets and build their capacity in export and trade finance.

The collaboration is expected to help Kenyan agribusinesses overcome some of the financial and market-access challenges that limit their expansion beyond the domestic market.

Through the partnership, KNCCI members will also benefit from training aimed at equipping businesses with the skills required to navigate international trade and take advantage of emerging export opportunities.

The initiative comes as Kenyan businesses seek to increase their presence in regional and global markets by expanding the reach of locally produced agricultural goods.
