Kenyan media personality Azeezah Hashim, popularly known as Media Messiah, has dismissed claims regarding her age. Addressing her age, she claimed is not 27 years old, stating she just turned 19.
The arguments came after bloggers published posts about her birthday; Azeezah has brushed off the speculations, expressing her frustration about bloggers who are trying to define her life story.
She replied to the bloggers with her mix of humor and confidence, “Do you want to argue with my mother?” noting her mother was the only person who celebrated her 19th birthday with her. Some fans applauded with her as she scrutinized people’s lives, while the critics reminded that age debates often reveal more about society’s obsession with women’s timelines.
The argument arose when some individuals claimed they grew up together in the same estate, suggesting they might be likely in the same age group. Azeezah said living in the same area doesn’t prove about official birth years.
Azeezah, known for confidence and engagement with young people, has built her career in the media industry by hosting the Friday night show 10 over 10 at Royal Media Services and the mid-morning show at Hot 96.
