Arsenal have confirmed they will conclude their eight-year sponsorship agreement with Visit Rwanda at the end of the 2025–26 season.
The sleeve partnership, which began in 2018, is believed to be worth more than £10m ($13.3m) annually.
However, it has faced renewed scrutiny in recent months following escalating violence in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, which borders Rwanda.
The tensions persist despite a peace framework signed earlier this week between Rwandan-backed M23 rebels and the Congolese government.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain extended their Visit Rwanda sponsorship in April, committing to a deal through 2028, while Atlético Madrid began a three-year agreement this season featuring the logo on both their men’s and women’s kits.
In a statement, Arsenal External said the club and the Rwanda Development Board had “mutually agreed” to end the partnership.
The Gunners noted the collaboration had “exceeded the original goals,” which included promoting conservation and sustainable tourism as well as supporting Rwanda’s ambition to become an international sporting hub in Africa.
Arsenal CEO Richard Garlick added that the sponsorship had been instrumental in enabling the club to “invest in our long-term vision to win major trophies in a financially sustainable way.”
In February, the DR Congo government urged Arsenal, PSG, and Bayern Munich—another club sponsored by Visit Rwanda—to terminate what it called “blood-stained” partnerships amid the deepening humanitarian crisis in the region.
