Kenyan comedian Mannerson Ocheing, popularly known as Akuku Danger has revealed he underwent a vasectomy. Akuku explained his decision was influenced by the pain and trauma he has experienced of living with sickle cell disease since childhood.
Speaking openly during the interview, Akuku said his health struggles and the trauma of growing up with a chronic condition influenced him not to have children. He added, the years he has dealt with health complications made him question whether he could responsibly take on the role of parenthood.
According to Akuku, he does wish to bring a child who could potentially endure the same health struggles he has faced throughout his life, reflecting on an emotional weight of not his condition does not continue into another generation.
