Singer and humanitarian Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has opened up about her tough week—supporting her own family members as they underwent two major surgeries in different hospitals. She shared how tiring the experience has been but thanked God for strength and healing.

Despite her personal struggles, Akothee also turned her attention to helping the family of the late blogger Mr. Ojwang. She tried to contact his wife and father but couldn’t reach them, even after trying all the phone numbers she had.

To ensure the family still gets help, Cleophas Nyagaka, the CEO of Fine Urban Interiors and a well-known giver from Kisii, stepped in and sent KSh 500,000 to the Akothee Foundation. The money will be safely kept until they manage to get in touch with Mr. Ojwang’s family, so it can be used in the right way.

Akothee said that this situation is bigger than just her and asked her fans and supporters to join hands with her in helping the grieving family. She reminded everyone that when people come together, they can make a big difference.

Comedian Eric Omondi, who has also been involved, confirmed that the funeral costs have already been sorted out. What remains now is supporting Mr. Ojwang’s widow.
