President William Ruto has expressed confidence that the newly appointed National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi will deliver.
The head of state described Mbadi as a gifted and diligent gentleman who has a drive and focus that will refine the country’s financial management.
Ruto said this will ensure sufficient government service delivery to the people of Kenya as detailed in the Kenya Kwanza manifesto.
"Waziri John Mbadi is a gifted and diligent gentleman. He has the drive and focus that will refine our public financial management, ensuring efficient government service delivery to all. We are optimistic that his competence and requisite management skills will make our economy robust and development sustainable," said Ruto.Ruto made the remarks after gracing Mbadi’s thanksgiving service in Magunga in Suba South, Homa Bay County.
On his part, Mbadi thanked Ruto for appointing him to his Cabinet.
"My heartfelt thanks to Mr. President for the trust placed in me as Cabinet Secretary for Finance. Together, we will steer our nation's economy towards growth and prosperity.To my people, your warm welcome and unwavering support mean the world to me. This journey is ours to walk together," said Mbadi.The head of state is currently on a development tour of the Nyanza region.
