The Cabinet Secretary for Health Dr Deborah Mlongo Barasa held a meeting with Trans Nzoia leaders, including MCAs, the County Executive Committee (CEC) member for Health, and the County Commissioner, to strategize on the effective rollout of the Social Health Authority (SHA) in the region.
The discussions focused on increasing registration to enable residents to access free, quality healthcare under the Taifa Care program.She emphasized the importance of collective action, stating:
โThis is the time to ensure our people receive quality healthcare. We are ambassadors of this agenda, and the President is committed to ensuring the success of Taifa Care. Health is a priority, and through sensitization and teamwork, we will achieve this goal. Negative publicity has no place in this mission.โ
The meeting reaffirmed the Ministryโs commitment to ensuring Universal Health Coverage reaches every Kenyan.
